Weekend Retreat
Menzies Hotel

Last year saw us arranging our first every weekend retreat to the Menzies Hotel, Irvine. Not ever thinking that it would come to reality, but it did and we found fourteen willing and eager crafters to descend upon the hotel to have a great time sharing a pastime that we all love.

This year on the 18th March - 20th March 2011 we are going to do it all again. Angela from Angel Crafts will be joining us bringing along lots of new and beautiful must have goodies from her shop.

Amanda kindly sent this for us

with instructions on how she achieved this

beautiful layout.

My daughter changed schools this year and I made this layout to record it

I cut her photo down to size to fit behind the gemstones.

I then made the small light blue flowers just by winding some blue lace and

holding it in place with some glue dots and glued a button in the middle.

I cut some lengths of lace to make into a rosette, the organze flower is made by

taking some organza cut it into different sizes of circles, you then cut slits

to make the petals and to shape the petals melt over a candle -

it is very easy to do.

I glued a Maya Road on top of the organza flower to finish it off.

The other flower I didn't make - it is one from the Prima range.

why not make a scrapbooking layout to show what you love.

You can either use one or two photographs of children,

wedding, pets or something special to you.

I have added a page map below the only thing I would like to see is
